He has experience in representing clients before the Belgian Competition Authority and the Belgian courts, as well as before the EU General Court.

Janek has authored a variety of legal publications on different aspects of EU law, including competition law, free movement law and procedural law. He is co-author of EU Procedural Law (OUP, 2023), a standard textbook on litigation before the EU Courts.

Before joining the firm, Janek practised EU law at another law firm in Brussels and was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg. He is also a reseacher at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) and holds a PhD from KU Leuven."
