Íñigo is Energy and Infrastructure Sector Lead and advises numerous leading companies on both domestic and international public and private M&A transactions.

He has extensive experience across multiple sectors including financial services, transport, education, social infrastructure, and TMT, amongst others. 

With over 24 years of experience, Íñigo specialises in corporate transactions, including private equity, public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, and restructuring. He has advised both domestic and international clients, including listed and unlisted companies and private equity houses. 

Íñigo is recognized as one of the foremost experts in M&A and private equity. He has navigated a broad spectrum of investment strategies, ranging from traditional private equity investments to infrastructure ventures. Additionally, he has represented managers in leveraged buyouts (LBOs) and is highly regarded for his proficiency in structuring complex R&W insurance solutions in the market. 

Íñigo is recommended as a leading M&A and Private Equity lawyer in Chambers & Partners (Band 1), IFLR 1000 and Legal 500. Íñigo was also named “Best Lawyer of the Year in Spain” by Expansion in 2023.

  • Igneo Infrastructure Partners (First Sentier Group) on the sale of the entire share capital of Parkia, and indirectly, of its subsidiaries, to Indigo. 
  • The Board of Directors of Siemens Gamesa on the voluntary takeover bid launched by its majority shareholder Siemens Energy AG. 
  • A private equity firm on the EUR1.35bn acquisition of an online real estate classifieds platform. This was the biggest private equity transaction in Spain, in 2020.
