Ian is an associate in Allen & Overy’s projects team. Ian transferred from our Tokyo office to our New York office in 2018. He has experience advising on international banking and project finance transactions across infrastructure, power, renewable energy, oil and gas. His experience in Tokyo saw him advising Japanese and foreign banks, ECAs, financial institutions and trading houses on the financing, management and restructuring of project financings mainly in emerging countries, from both a lender and sponsor position. He has also advised Japanese and global energy and utility companies and banks on the financing, structuring or acquisition of LNG shipping businesses. Since transferring to New York, Ian has gained experience in a range of U.S. and Latin America infrastructure and energy related financings, whilst building his experience in corporate and equity structuring for sponsors in respect of the same.
