Hugo Eijsvogel

Hugo specializes in corporate law with a focus on M&A. 

He advises private equity sponsors, private companies and listed entities. Hugo joined the Corporate M&A team in 2018. He gained experience in litigation and arbitration from 2020 to 2021, handling post-M&A disputes. In 2021, he rejoined the Corporate M&A team. Hugo spent the first five years of his career as an associate in Amsterdam and transferred to New York in 2023.

In 2023, Hugo published an article on how to negotiate, draft and litigate closing conditions and related provisions in M&A agreements, drawing on Delaware and Dutch case law, among others. You can read the article here.

Hugo holds corporate law LLM degrees from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and New York University. He received the George Colin Award for being the top graduate of the corporate law programme at New York University. Hugo is admitted to the bar in New York and the Netherlands.
