Heather has experience acting in complex cross-border contractual disputes, Corporations Act litigation, and ACL claims in the Supreme Courts of New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia and the Federal Court. 
 
Heather practices across a broad range of industries, including financial services, oil and gas, and agriculture.
 
Heather also has experience acting in international and domestic commercial arbitrations, both ad hoc and using institutional rules.
 
Heather has been recognised as ‘One To Watch’ in Litigation in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia.
 

Experience

Representative matters

  • A consortium of international banks, including an export credit agency and private institutions in respect of claims brought in the Supreme Court of Victoria for unconscionable conduct and breaches of implied terms of good faith in financing facilities in the satellite industry.
  • Former directors of Virgin Australia Holdings Limited in defence of a class action brought in the Federal Court of Australia for alleged Corporations Act breaches relating to convertible notes issued in Australia and the United States to fund the purchase of a stake of a frequent flyer program.
