Hazim is a Saudi qualified disputes resolution lawyer, specialized in representing Saudi and international corporations and government institutions in a variety of litigation and arbitration cases, including in the construction, real estate, anti-trust, corporate, labor, and securities sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, Hazim practiced at a leading international litigation and arbitration law firm, where he handled high-stakes disputes for major Saudi and international clients. Hazim’s practice is also informed by a unique dual perspective as he spent over 5 years as in-house disputes counsel for one of the largest oil and gas companies, where he managed the resolution of multi-million dollar commercial, land, and construction disputes adjudicated before various court levels, including the Saudi Supreme Court.

  • An energy company in securing a judgment from the Saudi Administrative Supreme Court rejecting a SAR2bn claim over shareholder voting rights in one of the company’s joint-ventures.
  • An energy company in securing a favorable judgment from the Supreme Court affirming access rights to a large tract of land necessary for the company’s operations.
  • A government-owned company before the Appellate Court against a SAR300mn claim by a contractor alleging the wrongful liquidation of bank guarantees.
  • A private healthcare provider in a multi-party LCIA arbitration against two major regional banks, defending debt and security claims exceeding USD500mn arising out of a large-scale, multi-year fraud.
  • A tractor and heavy machinery company in ad-hoc arbitration proceedings, claiming over SAR60mn for electromechanical work completed in one of the major airports in Saudi Arabia.
