Senior Knowledge Lawyer/Senior Development Manager

Fiona is a structured finance lawyer with over 20 years’ transactional experience and a focus on regulatory developments and the strategic deployment of legal technology to deliver efficient, client centred execution for A&O Shearman’s securitisation and structured finance practice.

Fiona advises on regulatory reforms and market developments relating to securitisation and covered bonds in the EU and UK.

Drawing on her deep transactional expertise, she works across the structured finance practice to embed innovation and continuous improvement, combining legal and change management skills with a detailed understanding of the firm’s innovation offering to streamline processes, enhance risk management and improve delivery.

Fiona works with lawyers and clients to provide targeted advice, support and training on both regulatory developments and the adoption and use of legal tech within transactions. 

Prior to taking up her current role, Fiona gained extensive experience working for a UK investment bank, completing a secondment at a major US investment bank and consulting at a leading asset manager. She has over 20 years’ of transactional experience during which she acted across a broad range of securitisation structures and asset classes.
