Edward advises on complex cybersecurity, data protection and technology matters across Asia, with particular experience in multi-jurisdictional data incidents, privacy regulatory strategy, technology transactions and emerging data, AI and cyber risks.

Edward acts on significant data incidents involving multi-jurisdictional notification requirements, forensic coordination and stakeholder engagement. He advises on privacy compliance and regulatory strategy, as well as technology transactions, outsourcing and vendor risk. He also advises on emerging issues at the intersection of data, AI and cybersecurity.

He has completed two client secondments with leading international banks: one with a cyber legal team and one with a digital legal services team. These roles involved large-scale cybersecurity initiatives, technology transactions and procurement matters, and provided practical insight into in-house risk management, governance and legal support in highly regulated financial services environments.

Edward has been named a Leading Associate in the Data Protection and Cyber Security category by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific Hong Kong Guide 2026. He was previously recognised as a Rising Star in the same category in 2024.
