Edward advises on a broad range of cross-border leveraged finance transactions and other debt finance transactions, acting for financial sponsors, private equity funds and their portfolio companies.
Prior to qualification, Edward trained at the firm and spent six months on secondment to A&O Shearman’s Singapore office.

Representative matters

  • Exponent on the financing for its acquisition of Chanelle Pharma, Ireland’s largest manufacturer of generic pharmaceuticals.
  • Exponent and its portfolio company SHL, the largest provider of psychometric and cognitive talent assessment for business globally, on the refinancing of SHL’s existing debt.
  • 3i and Action Group on various debt financing transactions for Action.
  • Consortium of fourteen banks, on Asda’s c. GBP3.2bn high yield bond and loan refinancing.
  • The joint lead arrangers on the refinancing of the approx. USD4.1bn cross-border term loan facilities for INEOS.

Pro bono

  • Working with Maternity Action to provide legal advice to women facing pregnancy related workplace discrimination.
