Dries advises on all aspects of corporate  law, with a particular focus on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions for both private equity sponsors and corporate clients.
He regularly represents Belgian and international clients across a broad range of sectors and jurisdictions and has specific experience in distressed M&A transactions.

Representative matters

  • DOMO Chemicals on the sale of its Engineered Materials business to Lone Star Funds through a cross-border European pre-pack bankruptcy deal.
  • IK Partners on their sale of Innovad Group, a leading supplier of animal health and nutrition solutions, to PAI Partners.
  • Evergreen Garden Care, an Exponent portfolio company, on the acquisition of Agaris Horti, a leading producer and distributor of high-quality substrates, soil improvers and soil covers, from Straco Private Equity.
  • Energy Solutions Group, a provider of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, on the EUR125m investment by Infranity to become its new shareholder.
  • A NASDAQ-listed company on the corporate restructuring of its European business.

Pro bono

  • Advising Belgian foundation Kick Cancer, together with its partner organizations, to set up FIGHT KIDS CANCER, a joint international non-profit organization supporting and enhancing paediatric cancer research across Europe.
