David specialises in real estate finance with a strong track record of advising banks and debt funds on market-leading financings secured on real estate assets in Europe (including individual landmark assets and portfolios of assets located in one or more jurisdictions).
In addition to traditional real estate financing, David’s practice draws particular distinction in his broad experience in non-traditional real estate finance banking products including financings in respect of portfolios of performing and non-performing loans, margin lending, real estate liquidity facilities and warehouse lending.

Representative matters

Lenders on their financings to a leading private equity house in respect of various assets (including retail, office, life sciences, logistics, entertainment, hotel, student accommodation and non-performing loans) located across Europe (including the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Finland and Denmark).

A US investment bank on its financing to a private equity house in respect of its acquisition of a Scandinavian-based office-space provider with assets in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Lithuania.

Lenders on their financings to a leading private equity house in in respect of various non-performing loan portfolios located in Portugal, Spain, Greece and Italy.

Lenders on their warehouse financings to a number of debt funds in respect of their European debt platforms.
