Darío holds a Double Degree in Law and Business Administration from CUNEF and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Universidad Carlos III, where he received the extraordinary award for the best academic record of his graduating class.

Before joining A&O Shearman, he spent more than four years at a leading Spanish law firm, where he developed extensive experience in corporate and transactional matters.

Darío advises domestic and foreign clients on a wide range of corporate matters, with a particular focus on M&A, private equity, capital markets, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and corporate governance. His practice encompasses the full spectrum of transactional work, from complex recapitalizations and refinancing transactions to cross-border acquisitions and divestitures.

Darío has significant experience advising private equity sponsors, listed companies, and strategic buyers and sellers across a variety of sectors, including agri-tech, healthcare, real estate services, industrial manufacturing, and energy transition. He has also been involved in capital market transactions, including De-SPAC mergers, share capital increases, and public listings.

With experience working in both the Madrid and New York markets, Darío brings an international perspective to his practice and regularly coordinates cross-border teams in multi-jurisdictional transactions.
