Craig has particular experience in leveraged and acquisition finance, acting principally for creditors on sponsor-backed acquisition finance transactions. 

This includes experience advising on both private credit transactions and syndicated financings. 

Craig also has experience advising top tier private equity funds and financial sponsors in respect of cross-border leveraged buyouts.

  • The arrangers and underwriters on CVC’s acquisition of Smiths Detection, a global leader in threat-detection and security-screening technologies for airports and critical infrastructure.
  • The arrangers and underwriters on the financing for Brightstar Capital Partners’ acquisition of a stake in Arden University.
  • The arrangers and bookrunners in relation to the EUR 1.8bn term facility provided to refinance the Techem Group’s existing facilities.
  • The financiers on Cinven’s acquisition of Vitamin Well, a functional food and beverage business.
  • The arrangers and bookrunners on the term loan, revolving and capex facilities provided to IVCE, a leading European veterinary services provider owned by EQT.

  • The arrangers in relation to the bid by KKR for Robert Bosch Packaging Technology GmbH. 
  • Hg Capital in relation to its acquisition of Auvesy GmbH, a leading global provider of version control and change management software solutions for automated industrial environments.
  • Hg Capital in relation to its acquisition of MDT Software, a software solutions provider. 
  • Hg Capital in relation to its acquisition of a majority stake in Bright Pay and Relate Software.
  • Hg Capital in relation to the acquisition of SMS, MMS, web portals, API gateways and integrations company MessageMedia (an Australian-based company).
  • Castik Capital and Element Logic in connection with financing the acquisitions of SDI Industries and S&P Computersysteme GmbH. 
  • H.I.G Capital in connection with the financing for its proposed take-private of the DX Group. 
  • V Sports in connection with the financing required to support Aston Villa Football Club. 

Pro bono

  • Advising applicants on immigration issues in collaboration with Coram Children’s Legal Centre, a charity organisation providing one-to-one legal advice on issues affecting children subject to immigration control.
