Charles’ practice includes both transactional and contentious work.
He has a particular focus on debt capital markets, structured finance and infrastructure and asset finance. On the finance side, he has particular experience of regulatory capital, corporate hybrids, repacks, securitisations and CLOs. On the asset side his practice covers power stations, windfarms, shipping, aviation and rolling stock. 

His contentious practice has included litigation before the tax tribunals and the Court of Appeal, dealing with HMRC civil and criminal tax investigations and resolving tax disputes by way of mutual agreement procedure.
