Ben specialises in advising clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on traditional and emerging green technologies supporting energy transition.

Ben’s practice involves advising on a broad range of transactions across the energy value chain acting for sponsors and financial institutions. With a focus on project development, Ben has a wide range of experience that includes construction, procurement, operation and offtake arrangements as well as broader commercial contract negotiations and regulatory matters.

  • The lenders and ECAs in relation to the development and financing of the H2 Green Steel giga-scale hydrogen and green steel project in Europe.
  • Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC) in relation to the development and financing of a 9GWh battery gigafactory in France.
  • Marinus Link in relation to the development of a telecommunications interconnector between Tasmania and Victoria, Australia. (previous firm experience).
  • Edify Energy in relation to the development and financing of battery energy storage systems in Australia. (previous firm experience).
  • EnergyCo in relation to the development of network infrastructure within the Central?West Orana Renewable Energy Zone in New South Wales, Australia. (previous firm experience).
