Antony is a seasoned patent litigator and registered Patent Attorney with over 25 years of experience. He has served in partnership roles at leading law firms and as Vice President and General Counsel of a global AI technology company.

Antony is experienced in patent litigation, patent portfolio management, patent opinions, licensing, and commercial contracting in diverse technological areas, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, software, and electronics. In his role as General Counsel, Antony gained deep experience with global data privacy and emerging global AI regulatory frameworks.

Antony brings a rare combination of litigation leadership, strategic business judgment, and in-house perspective to all of his engagements.

Representative matters

  • Advising Teva Pharmaceuticals as defense counsel, in district court and on appeal in cases regarding osteoporosis and pain-treatment pharmaceuticals.
  • Advising Toyota as defense counsel  in multiple district court litigations, and as petitioner in twelve inter partes review (IPR) proceedings that ultimately resulted in the cancellation or withdrawal of significant patent claims, and voluntary dismissal with prejudice by the plaintiff.
  • Advising Barnes & Noble as defense counsel in patent infringement suit regarding its NOOK eReader products from claims of patent infringement made by Deep9, and in an ITC investigation instituted by Microsoft.
  • Advising Nitto Denko on a licensing deal with Bristol-Myers Squibb regarding exclusive worldwide rights regarding its novel siRNA molecules to treat liver fibrosis.
