Anna-Lena advises and represents national and international companies in all areas of in-court and out-of-court dispute resolution, with a particular focus on insolvency and restructuring litigation as well as commercial and corporate law disputes.
A major focus of her work concerns the advice on insolvency-related risks and litigation matters arising from insolvency or restructuring proceedings. In this context, she regularly counsels clients on matters such as claw-back claims, enforcement of claims and liability questions (especially D&O liability). In addition, Anna-Lena advises and represents leading professional services firms, especially audit firms, in connection with professional liability disputes.

Representative matters

  • A client in connection with alleged claims for damages of approx. EUR1.5bn brought by an insolvency administrator for alleged breaches of professional duties in connection with the client’s work for a former DAX-listed company.
  • Advising a leading global energy company on litigation aspects in connection with the successful conclusion of a comprehensive refinancing package, totaling around EUR3 billion.
  • Advising a Dutch provider of network and security services on claw-back claims in connection with the insolvency proceedings of a German telecommunications company. 
  • Representation of the insolvency administrator in asserting claims against the former managing directors of an insolvent company on the basis of unlawful payments made during the period of material insolvency (amount in dispute approx. EUR25 million).
