Andrew is a projects, energy and infrastructure expert, who helps clients navigate complex and innovative transactions in the energy (renewable, LNG and traditional) and natural resources sectors.
He has advised developers, sponsors, lenders and export credit agencies on numerous high-profile market-leading transactions, including the world’s first project financing of a floating LNG unit and Africa’s biggest project financing at the time (the USD5 bn Coral South FLNG project) and the first LNG-to-power project in Asia (Jawa 1).

Experience

Representative matters

The Export Credit Agencies and lenders on the development and financing of the approximately USD8bn Coral FLNG project to be moored in the Area 4 Coral South Offshore Basin, Mozambique. The first-ever project financing of a floating LNG vessel (FLNG), the first LNG project Mozambique and the USD5bn financing was the largest project financing in African history at the time. Midstream Oil & Gas Deal of the Year, IJ Global 2018. ECA-backed Energy Deal of the Year, TXF 2018.

JBIC, NEXI, ADB and the commercial lenders on the USD1.8bn 2x800MW Jawa 1 FSRU and gas-fired IPP project in Indonesia, the first LNG to Power project in Asia employing an FSRU. Project Finance Deal of the Year, IFLR Asia-Pacific 2019.

The Export Credit Agencies on the financing for the USD 6bn integrated polymers complex in Ras Laffan Industrial City Qatar.

The Sponsor on the project financing of a portfolio (133 MW) of rooftop solar projects in both Vietnam and in Indonesia.

The Sponsors on the USD2.3bn financing for the 1,200MW Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Plant project in Vietnam.

The Sponsor on the USD2bn financing for the 2x660MW Van Phong 1 BOT Power Project in Vietnam.
