In particular, he has worked with several investors in claims against states in disputes under the Energy Charter Treaty. Alex's practice also includes assisting litigation funders and alternative asset managers in relation to the purchase and enforcement of awards and claims in investment treaty cases. Alex also has experience of litigation in the English courts. 
 
Alex is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales. Prior to joining the Madrid team, Alex worked in the firm's London office and was seconded to a leading global alternative asset manager.
