Alastair is a specialist in complex, large-scale disputes, with a strong focus on the resources, energy and mining sectors.

Alastair represents clients in various forms of dispute resolution, including a high-value Court litigation, international arbitration and mediation.

Alastair's experience includes acting in:

  • large-scale construction disputes in resources, infrastructure, and mining sector, before international tribunals and Australian Courts;
  • complex contract disputes in the energy and resources sectors including in relation to gas supply agremeents and gas price reviews; and
  • disputes relating to issues of arbitration and other points of international law.

Representative matters

A multi-national Joint Venture in a multi-billion dollar ICC arbitration arising from an Australian LNG project.

A member of the North West Shelf Gas Joint Venture in relation to a pricing arbitration conducted under a Sale and Purchase agreement.

INPEX in a multi-billion dollar insurance dispute out of the Western Australian Supreme Court.
