A&O Shearman strengthens Saudi Arabia practice with appointment of corporate partner Shaima Bakhsh
A&O Shearman has appointed Shaima Bakhsh as a corporate partner in Riyadh. Shaima brings deep experience in M&A, joint ventures and strategic corporate advice, gained most recently as general counsel for Hassana Investment Company, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading government-owned investment firms. She will work closely with the firm’s Saudi Arabia and Middle East teams to support clients on high‑impact transactions aligned with Vision 2030.

Shaima, who will join the firm in January 2026, will advise on corporate and M&A matters across Saudi Arabia, supporting the firm as it continues its nearly 50-year history in the Kingdom.
