A&O Shearman represents Alicorp on USD420 million and COP188.6 billion multi-jurisdictional credit facilities
A&O Shearman represented Alicorp, Peru's largest consumer goods company, and its subsidiaries in Colombia, Spain, and Ecuador in connection with aggregate senior unsecured credit facilities of up to USD420m and COP188.6bn. The multi-jurisdictional transaction combines a revolving credit facility for the parent company with term loans for its three subsidiaries.

The facilities comprise a USD revolving credit facility for Alicorp S.A.A.; a dual tranche Colombian Peso and USD term loan for Alicorp Colombia S.A.S.; a USD term loan for Alicorp Holdco España, S.L.U.; and a USD term loan for Alicorp Ecuador S.A.

Alicorp is Peru's largest consumer goods company, with operations spanning Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and other markets across the region. The financing comes as the company continues its regional expansion, including in Colombia, where Alicorp recently assumed direct operation of the home care business it acquired from Unilever.

“We were pleased to advise Alicorp and its subsidiaries on this multi-jurisdictional financing, spanning four countries and two currencies, this transaction demonstrates strong lender interest and positions the company for continued growth across the region.”

The A&O Shearman team was led by New York-based Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure partner Denise Grant, alongside associates Pedro de Elizalde, Leopoldo Melo, and Kayla O'Brien. Additional Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure support was provided by Madrid-based partner Vanessa Cuellas, senior associate Sara Sanz, and associate Miguel Gonzalo, and sanctions support was provided by New York-based partner Paula Anderson.
