A&O Shearman advises on EUR600m bond by Acquirente Unico
Acquirente Unico S.p.A., the company responsible for holding Italy's strategic petroleum reserves through the Central Stockpiling Entity (OCSIT), has successfully completed the placement of a senior unsecured bond issue with a nominal value of EUR600m and a seven-year maturity (February 11, 2033).
In the transaction, A&O Shearman advised the financial institutions acting as joint lead managers: BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, IMI - Intesa Sanpaolo, Mediobanca, and UniCredit Bank GmbH.

The bond pays a fixed annual coupon of 3.5% and is intended for institutional investors. The securities have been admitted to listing on the Euro MTF segment of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

The A&O Shearman team on the transaction was led by partner Cristiano Tommasi, assisted by counsel Sarah Capella, associate Paolo Martellone, and trainee Lisa Avitabile. Tax aspects were handled by counsel Elia Ferdinando Clarizia.
