InfraRed Capital Partners (“InfraRed”) made a notable addition to its North American energy transition portfolio with a 202 MW operational wind farm in Texas in 2024. This facility provides clean, resilient energy to the grid, helping to meet rapidly growing demand against a backdrop of aging power infrastructure.

A&O Shearman provided InfraRed with specialist project development assistance as it established its balance of plant operations and asset partner agreements with Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS). CAMS will work alongside Vestas, with the manufacturer continuing to provide operation and maintenance for their industry-leading turbines at the wind farm.

While A&O Shearman is renowned for its energy and infrastructure investment expertise, this deal is another demonstration of the firm's ability to successfully advise on project development and asset management work for renewable energy and infrastructure related assets.

"A&O Shearman was pleased to collaborate with its long-term client, InfraRed, to implement asset management services for such a fantastic facility in Texas," said Peter Tolson, A&O Shearman Natural Resources and Infrastructure counsel. "We value our continued relationship with InfraRed, and we look forward to working with them more in project development and asset management as they continue to expand in the U.S. energy transition space.”
