A&O Shearman advised the joint lead managers on a sovereign bond issuance by the Republic of Benin
The Republic of Benin has successfully issued USD350 million 7.960% amortizing notes due 2038, which will be consolidated and form a single series with the USD750m 7.960% amortizing notes due 2038 issued on February 13, 2024.

The net proceeds of the notes will be used for general budget purposes in accordance with the Republic’s finance laws.
