After the usual round up of regulatory developments, we delved into the FCA’s policy statement on the definition of capital for FCA investment firms and what the proposed new standalone prudential framework will mean for UK MiFID investment firms.

We then considered the UK’s general approach to asset management firms and how competitive or otherwise the UK regulatory framework is. Finally, we discussed the FCA's near-final rules on targeted support, which have just been published.
