Thomas specialises in employment law and has extensive experience in all areas of employment law. 

Thomas advises companies in particular on restructuring, outsourcing projects, staff reduction measures and other adjustment processes. He supports these projects from the strategic planning stage right up to final implementation. Thomas has extensive experience in dealing with works councils and trade unions. His negotiations are characterized by his focus on achieving objectives and reaching solutions. Thomas is recognized as a leading expert in advising on collective bargaining and averting threatened industrial action. Clients and colleagues value his pragmatic approach and expertise in preparing and advising on labour-court cases.

Thomas has repeatedly been named as a recommended specialist for employment law in Germany by JUVE, Chambers Europe (Band 1) and PLC Which Lawyer. He has been ranked among the “40 leading names in human resource management in Germany” four times in a row since 2011 (Personalmagazin, Haufe-Verlag (leading German HR journal)). Most recently, he has been awarded Employment “Lawyer of the Year” (Best Lawyers/Handelsblatt 2020). Thomas regularly speaks and publishes on his specialist subjects.
