Raphael Parvin

Lawyer

Raphael is a lawyer in our Australian litigation practice, specialising in large-scale commercial disputes, across litigation, international arbitration, and mediation.

Leveraging his background in commercial and corporate practice, he is a specialist lawyer in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate, commercial and energy and resources law, and has acted for leading corporations across an array of diversified sectors, both in Australia and internationally.

Raphael is pragmatic, diligent and client focused. He has experience in providing bespoke advice and representation to a diverse portfolio of large Australian and international companies, and has worked with clients from a wide range of industries including mining and energy resources, construction, real estate, and technology.

He has a strong track record in advising on domestic and international transactions relating to mergers and acquisitions and asset/deal structuring, as well acting for corporations involved in high-cost dispute matters. He also has extensive experience in corporate and international tax law, particularly dealing with corporate tax and transfer pricing matters, including M&A tax, International Dealing Schedule (IDS) disclosures, Advance Pricing Agreements (APA), as well as transfer pricing planning and policy development.

Raphael has a strong passion for pro-bono and has worked with several non-for-profit organisations to reduce educational disparity for children in rural and indigenous communities. For these efforts within the community and wider leadership roles, Raphael was named a Top 100 Future Leader in Australia by the Australian Financial Review in 2019.

Prior to joining the firm, Raphael worked as a lawyer at a leading global US law firm and as a consultant at a tier 1 global advisory firm.

Raphael has a strong passion for pro-bono, and has worked with a number of non-for-profit organisations to reduce educational disparity for children in rural and indigenous communities.
