Miguel Orellana

Associate

Miguel has extensive experience in jurisdictional consultations and notification of concentrations across different sectors (including financial services, telecoms, pharma, oil and gas, etc.) to the Spanish Competition Authority and the European Commission.
He has also advised to multinational clients in the context of infringement proceedings before the Spanish Competition Authority and regional competition authorities. In addition, Miguel has also gained experience in advising on vertical restraints matters, horizontal agreements, damages claims and compliance programs.

CEPSA on the merger control aspects of the acquisition of Ballenoil, S.A. and its service stations network in Spain.

Nexi S.p.A. on the acquisition of 80% of the share capital of PayComet, S.L.U., a subsidiary of Banco de Sabadell, S.A., active in the provision of merchant acquiring services and digital payments.

OCP, S.A. in the acquisition of 50% of the share capital of Global Feed, S.L.U., company active in the production of phosphates and additives for animal feed.

King Street Capital Management in the acquisition of a platform for the acquisition and development of student housing in Spain and Portugal.
