Marat assists clients in all stages of litigation and international arbitration.

He has experience in a wide range of domestic commercial disputes and international arbitrations under LCIA, SCC, ICC, CAM Santiago and ICAC rules.

On a daily basis, he supports clients on commercial, corporate, construction, sanctions and financial law matters. Marat also dedicates much of his time to pro bono matters in the CIS region and globally.

Leading jewellery brand in a dispute under ICC Rules for repayment of demand guarantees issued by a major bank.

A CIS telecoms company in relation to an SCC arbitration with the developer and supplier of software products.

A CIS cultural fund in connection with a potential dispute (reached pre-action settlement).

A leading real estate company in connection with claims for damages arising from a SPA in several real estate and construction companies (reached pre-action settlement).

A global financial institution regarding repayment of debt under financial documents both in LCIA arbitration and Russian courts.

One of the largest CIS synthetic diamond industry companies in LCIA arbitration proceedings in relation to the termination of a joint venture (previous firm experience).

One of the largest energy companies in the CIS region in complex commercial arbitration in connection with a project for construction of a hydroelectric power plant in Latin America (previous firm experience).

Pro bono

Conducting research for a Central Asian human rights project on effective strategies to protect women from sexual harassment.

Coaching and advising students for a major international commercial arbitration moot-court

Providing legal guidance to a human rights organisation on the existing laws and mechanisms for preventing and addressing domestic violence against women in Russia (previous firm experience).

Assisting a human rights activist with the preparation and submission of a claim to the ICJ against a CIS country for human rights violations (previous firm experience).
