She has worked with clients throughout the lifecycle of their brands including on portfolio management, clearance and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Previously based in Alicante, she has over a decade of experience advising some of the world’s most valuable brands.Her experience spans sectors such as consumer, entertainment, TMT, financial institutions, life sciences, health care and automotive. Karla is a contributing author of a leading EU trade mark commentary, Concise European Trade Mark Law (Wolters Kluwer).

Karla is heavily involved in the International Trade mark Association (INTA), as Chair of the Famous & Well-known Marks Committee and liaison to the Bad Faith Task Force. She has spoken at IP conferences such as ECTA, INTA and the German Federal Patent Court symposium.
