She has experience in a wide range of litigation matters acting for clients in the High Court of South Africa and Supreme Court of Appeal with a focus on complex commercial disputes, and advising on various data protection and privacy regulation related matters.

Representative matters

  • A leading manufacturer in the automotive industry in High Court litigation involving a number of delictual claims.
  • A global technology services company in court proceedings relating to the cancellation of a black economic empowerment (BEE) transaction tainted by, amongst others, non-disclosure of financial interests and collusion on the part of its directors and prescribed officers.
  • One of South Africa’s leading banks in respect of recovery actions against defaulting creditors in business rescue proceedings and ensuing liquidation proceedings.
  • A global industry leader in energy management solutions in arbitration proceedings involving a contractual dispute and related to complaint to the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Commission.

Pro bono

  • Assisted an independent not for profit network of human rights lawyers with comparative research on rights of LGBTQ+ persons in South Africa.
  • Conducted training for one of South Africa’s leading media and news platforms, on the constitutional rights of journalists.
  • Conducted training for junior lawyers at a public interest law firm on data protection and privacy regulation in South Africa.
